I think I can happily speak for everyone when I say it will be good to see the back of 2020, a definite “Annus Horribilis” a phrase once used by Her Majesty in a Christmas Day broadcast after the fire that almost destroyed Windsor Castle a few years back.
For a lot of us, this year will be forever remembered sadly as we have lost friends and loved ones, gone too soon. To them, we will raise a glass at Midnight tonight.
New year is a time to look forward and let us hope that 2021 will bring a ray or two of sunshine on this bleak midwinter.
